Health and Food Matter 2025 – Event Report
The annual Health and Food Matter outreach for 2025 has been nothing short of remarkable. This year’s edition stood out as one of our most impactful gatherings, bringing together the spirit of community, wellness, and generosity—truly painting the community with smiles.
What made this year truly special was the incredible partnership with Dobetatogether, a compassionate organization that stepped in to support our mission. Their generous donation of food items enabled us to reach even more people in need and ensured that every participant left with both nourishment and a renewed sense of hope.
Free Health Services for the Elderly
Over 100 senior citizens from the Oru/Ilaporu communities benefited from comprehensive free health services. Our team of volunteer medical professionals provided:
-
Basic health screenings and consultations
-
Blood pressure and blood sugar checks
-
Guidance on nutrition and healthy living
Food Support for the Community
In addition to medical care, each elderly participant received a free pack of raw food items, ensuring that they had not only immediate relief but also support for their household meals in the days ahead.
Gratitude and Community Impact
The smiles on the faces of the beneficiaries spoke volumes about the impact of this initiative. We extend our heartfelt thanks to Dobetatogether, our dedicated volunteers, and the entire Oru/Ilaporu community for making this year’s program a success.
This event reaffirms our commitment to promoting health, wellness, and food security among the most vulnerable members of our society. Together, we are—just as our tagline promises—painting the community with smiles.
