Empowering Girls with Special Needs: PAD A GIRL School Tour Kick-Off

On 17th, May 2025, our team at AHF had the privilege of collaborating with Teach for Nigeria to visit Daniel Akintonde School of Children with Special Needs. This marked the kick-off of our PAD A GIRL school tour, an initiative aimed at empowering girls with knowledge and resources for better health and well-being.

During the visit, we had the opportunity to teach menstrual hygiene to 100 girls, including those who are menstruating and those who are not yet menstruating. Our team was delighted to interact with the girls and provide them with the support they need.

Recognizing that girls with disabilities are often underserved, we were honored to start our school tour with them. We believe that every girl deserves access to education, healthcare, and resources that can help her succeed

As part of our commitment to empowering girls, we donated sanitary pads to the school and provided a pack to each girl of age. We believe that this small act can make a big difference in their lives.

We’re excited to continue our PAD A GIRL school tour and reach more girls in need. Stay tuned for updates from our next stop!
