ANWOJUE HOPE FOUNDATION THREW HOPE AT WOMANHOOD AS YOUNG GIRLS OF LISABI GRAMMAR SCHOOL ABEOKUTA GETS SANITARY PADS.

To commemorate the 2022 Menstrual Hygiene Day, Anwojue Hope Foundation in partnership with the Reproductive Health HIV/AIDS awareness campaign (a subset of NYSC Community Development Service Group) on the 31st of May 2022 campaigned on the theme pad a girl to end period poverty.

As part of the commitment of AHF to give hope and put smile on the face of the vunerables, the non-profit organization decides to visit the young Girls of Lisabi Grammar School Abeokuta to celebrate the 2022 Menstrual Hygiene Day.

Since ending period poverty is more than equipping young Girls with sanitary Pads, Pelumi Agboola who is a volunteer with AHF admonish the young Girls to take thier menstrual hygiene seriously and not to be ashamed or let anyone bully them as that’s one of the things that makes them unique as a woman.

Other speakers also enlightened the young Girls on Menstrual myths and how there’s nothing ugly or mythical about menstruation if properly and hygienically managed.

The highlight of the Menstrual outreach was the sharing of sanitary Pads to the young Girls of Lisabi Grammar School and it was indeed a joyful moment for the young Girls as they happily collect the period care products.

At Anwojue Hope Foundation, we believe Menstrual hygiene is a human right and we’re committed to seeing this materialize in Nigeria, we believe that no Girl should be held back by a period of poverty so we’ll continually do our part to end period period poverty in Nigeria.
